Spring Equinox Hoop Trance Dance Meditation Recap

Thank you for joining me in the Spring Equinox Hoop Trance Dance Meditation Workshop March 21st, 2015!

This is the recap page for the workshop with information to assist you in your personal meditation practice and journey.

Hoop Trance Dance Meditation Series
What's Hoop Trance Dance Meditation?  
Through the use of the Sacred Hoop, Soolah Hoops, will present the creative force of Hoop Trance Dance Meditation. Energy work, meditation and movement are the basis of this workshop. 

We learned:
  • Basic body hooping, hand hooping and techniques to assist you during your movement meditation experience
  • Centering Meditations such as the Golden Honey Pot
  • Blind Folded Meditation Practice understanding and connecting to your personal flow during meditation
  • Ho'oponopono Meditation
  • Soolah's Cosmic Donut Philosophy
  • Healing/Energy Circle
  • Intentional Prayer Movement Meditation
  • Ended with a Free Flow Intentional Hoop Jam Cool down. 
Many of the aspects of Hoop Meditation can be explored on your own at home and you may branch from this to working out even more in your own Hoop Meditation Practice.  

Things to Remember:
  • Dropping your hoop just means you are learning something new!  Each drop creates a Hoop Splash of Happiness!!
  • Blind-fold Hoop Movement Meditation Practice can be practiced even for 5 minutes a day to shift your focus.  
  • If you find you are getting a little dizzy spinning or turning just turn a few rotations in the opposite direction to "unwind" the dizzy!
Ho’oponopono Meditation - 
  • The Mantra is 
"I Love you, I'm Sorry, Please Forgive me and Thank You"
It is a Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and forgiveness as mental cleansing.
We did the Ho'oponopono Movement Meditation to Hooponopono 10 Minute Meditation Inspiration by Lisa Itts.

The Cosmic Donut!
  1. Ingredients - You and your physical what you may or may not share with your external world - but always up to you.
  2. Toppings - What you do show or want to share with the external world
    1. What you add to the outside of the donut? Frosting, Sprinkles - Rainbow or chocolate, Glaze, Powder or Plain
  3. Filling - Your internal feelings you hold as you move through your day and you don’t tend to share…  Cream, Jelly, Pudding...:)
  4. Feel the Words Exercise is a way to get in touch with what you want to create for yourself and in your world. 
    1. Thoughts are Electric and Emotions are Magnetic - Mastering Alchemy (Jim Self)
    2. Think of a word to yourself with no attached feeling
    3. Feel how this word feels to you and what it does for you. 
    4. What does it feel like?
    5. Do you naturally embrace it?
    6. Do you feel uncomfortable or resistance with this word? Why?
Too much Baking Soda? Blocks to what we are creating:
  1. Give yourself permission to work through the blocks 
  2. Steps to help work through them - you may find your own way as well
  3. Acknowledge the feeling - don’t ignore it or push it away
  4. It may have a form or texture or sense to it
  5. Sit with it for a moment
  6. What is it’s empowering opposite? 
  7. Now really feel that Empowering word. 
  8. Compost what you don’t need, change your recipe and focus on the new Empowering word.  Visualize it moving into a compost mode/breaking down.  Fertilizer for new growth.
  9. Ho’oponopono can help if you get stuck in this process
  10. Breathing can help move but also movement can help shake up the old energy
  11. Dance the Empowering Word/Feeling Meditation - Dance with your hoop in the expression of the empowering word, intention or thing you want to manifest in your life. If something comes up slow down and do the process above. If it continues work in Ho’oponopono

Circling Energy
You can infuse your hoop with specific symbols, words, pictures, etc. and then use it for yourself or with those around you.   It can be used to balance and heal, recharge and energize or shift aspect of your daily being.

Seeds of Intention
Goal, Empowering Word, Intention and dancing our new words/intentions sending energy into the seeds or other items you would like to utilize in your day-to-day path walking.
    1. Feel yourself achieving it or manifesting it or what it will feel like when you have achieved it.  See it as if it is now.
    2. Target feeling for your Intention so you are able to return to it any time (can sit in it for even 5 minutes a day or 10 - 5 before you are up and 5 before you go to sleep.)
    3. Give yourself permission to have be or do whatever this goal or intention is that you are creating..
    4. Compost those old feelings that may arise to help the new intention grow.
    5. Ho’oponopono if need be to move through or shift old patterns and feelings.
    6. Breathe into the blocks.
    7. Journal as necessary.
